Finsbury Circus Competition – with LT Studio & Xylotek

The design proposals are characterised by a diverse set of landscape spaces. The spiralling, mile long elevated walkway weaving through the canopies of the existing trees allows for a unique experience in this part of London.

At ground level zones of space are given over to a productive landscape where people and organisations including cafes and restaurants can grow seasonal crops in a managed way. Beneath the elevated walkway, this character breaks down to a wild landscape reminiscent of a natural environment where a diverse mix of planting species including fruiting trees and bushes willbe allowed to populate the space organically.

Gathering spaces at the pavilion structures are flexible allowing for day-to-day informal meeting and occasional formal special events to take place.
